So, what are the applications of silicone adhesives?

Polyorganosiloxane is a linear polymer composed of alternating silicon atoms and oxygen atoms. After cross-linked vulcanization, it has excellent high and low temperature resistance, atmospheric aging resistance, electrical insulation and elasticity. It can be used for a long time in the range of -60 ~ 200℃, and its physical and mechanical properties rarely change, so it is widely used in construction, electronics, automobiles, packaging, medical and health industries, showing excellent development momentum, the use of silicone adhesives and sealants continues to expand, and the variety and dosage are also increasing year by year.   

The siloxanes in the silicone resin can react with compounds containing meridians, such as epoxy, phenolic and polyunitary, so these compound resins can be used to modify silicone adhesives.

Pure silicone resin as the main material of silicone adhesive, generally xylene as the solvent, adding inorganic fillers, such as asbestos powder, mica powder, Qin dioxide and zinc oxide made. It is cross-linked polymerization curing at high temperature (270℃), has excellent high temperature resistance, can be used at 400℃ for a long time, suitable for non-structural bonding and sealing at high temperature.

Pure silicone adhesive is inconvenient to use due to high curing temperature, and the bonding strength is not high, so it can only be used as non-structural adhesive. The silicone resin can be modified by the reaction of one OH in epoxy, phenolic and polyvinegar with siloxane in silicone resin, which can not only maintain the high temperature resistance of silicone resin adhesive, but also reduce the curing temperature and improve the bonding strength.

Silicone resin can be used for anti-stick coating of roller, widely used in textile industry, printing and dyeing industry, paper industry, rubber processing, plastic processing and other fields of roller, mold, pipeline, engine inner wall, food machinery, printing machinery hopper, frying pan baking pan anti-stick coating, safety knife anti-slip coating, etc. Fluorine resin non-stick coating and silicone resin non-stick coating: the former has the shortcomings of high curing temperature, complex construction technology, low gloss coating film, single color, so the application range is limited; Silicone resin non-stick coating has the advantages of relatively low curing temperature, high gloss, variable color, convenient coating, etc., and is also very popular in practical construction applications. Of course, fluororesin nonstick coatings have a slight advantage over silicone nonstick coatings in terms of nonstick properties.
