Silicon dioxide silicone resin composite superhydrophobic coating: sprayable and moldable

Superhydrophobic surfaces (coatings) play an irreplaceable role in applications such as drag reduction, energy conservation, anti icing, and anti biological deposition. Recently, many bottom-up or top-down preparation strategies have been developed to construct functional superhydrophobic coatings with low surface energy and rough surface structure. However, the complexity of the surface construction process of micro/nano structures and the easy wear characteristics of micro/nano rough structures greatly limit the preparation cost and service life of superhydrophobic coatings. Developing simple strategies to achieve functional coatings with high wear resistance or easily repairable, renewable superhydrophobic surfaces is an important development direction in this field.
