Introduction to the course of "quality development" in the second classroom
The second class "quality development" is included in the undergraduate training plan of our university, which is listed as a required course. Undergraduate students can obtain corresponding class hours by participating in the "quality development" activity in the second classroom.
The second classroom "quality development" class hour identification and performance evaluation mainly rely on the implementation of College Students' growth service platform pocket University (hereinafter referred to as PU), easy class platform (the operating procedures are formulated by the learning and Engineering Office (Department)) and so on.
The curriculum system is divided into six parts: "Ideological and moral cultivation", "social practice", "voluntary public service", "innovation and entrepreneurship practice", "culture, art and sports", "social work resume".

Little PIU, what are the requirements for class hours in the second class?
① Five year program and long term program
In principle, six credits can be obtained when 108 class hours have been completed in the first to third year of University, and the requirements of single minimum class hours have been met;
② Four year program
In principle, four credits can be obtained after 72 class hours have been completed in the first to second year of University, and the minimum class hours of a single item have been met.

"Voluntary public service" shall not be less than 8 class hours / academic year on average

"Culture, art and sports" shall not be less than 5 class hours / school year on average
How do grades and hours translate? When do you register your scores?
The second class "quality development" course is qualified with 70 points, and on this basis, 1 point will be added for each additional 2 class hours, with a maximum score of 95 points.
The results of the course of "quality development" in the second classroom are provided to the educational administration one year before graduation, i.e. the scores of students majoring in the five-year system and the long-term system will total at the end of the eighth semester, and the scores of students majoring in the four-year system will total at the end of the sixth semester.
In the last year of graduation, all professional students can still continue to participate in the second classroom activities for accumulation. In May of graduation year, the school put the detailed record of "quality expansion" of the second classroom into the student file for the reference of the employer.
Be careful
The second class "quality development" of the enlisted undergraduates is exempted, which is directly calculated as 70 points. They can continue to participate in the second class activities and get bonus points above the basic points.
What happens if I don't finish school?
At the end of each school year, the school Youth League Committee / College Youth League Committee shall give academic warning to students who fail to reach the average minimum class hours (including single class hours), and the students who are warned shall make up for the class hours as required. If the five-year and long-term students fail to make up the total class hours or the single activity fails to meet the minimum class hours at the end of the eighth semester or the four-year students at the end of the sixth semester, the score of "quality development" in the second classroom is unqualified, and on the basis of 70 points, one point will be deducted for each difference of one class hour.
If the required class hours are not obtained in May of the graduation school year, it shall be supplemented in accordance with the relevant regulations of the school.
What are the six activities mentioned above?
How to determine the class hour?
1. "Ideological and moral cultivation"
It refers to students' participation in ideological guidance education and training or activities, as well as provincial and above related honors.
2. "Social practice"
It refers to the practice activities that students take part in the social practice of "three going to the countryside" during the summer vacation, with social investigation, innovation and entrepreneurship, voluntary service, publicity and education, consultation and guidance as the basic content; as well as the relevant honors at or above the provincial level.
3. "Voluntary public service"
It refers to the public welfare behavior that students voluntarily contribute time, intelligence, physical strength, skills, etc. to help others and serve the society without the purpose of getting remuneration. It includes popularizing the culture and customs, offering warmth and love, maintaining public order and meeting security, humanitarian activities of the Red Cross, and voluntary services for special groups, as well as voluntary public welfare services or individual awards of the Red Cross at or above the provincial level.
4. "Innovation and entrepreneurship practice"
It refers to students' participation in various kinds of innovation and entrepreneurship, employment guidance, vocational planning training and learning, innovation and entrepreneurship training or scientific research practice activities, subject competition or skill operation competition, and entrepreneurship practice during school.
5. "Culture, art and sports"
It refers to students' participation in cultural and artistic activities or sports activities; participation in school level, provincial art group training or school team sports training; participation in cultural and artistic or sports competitions at or above the municipal level; and awards of cultural and artistic and sports competitions at or above the provincial level.
6. "Social work resume"
It refers to the working experience of participating in college level and school level service student associations, serving as the League branch, class committee, League branch secretary, Party branch secretary, monitor, group leader of learning (practice) center, student association leader, Student Department directly under the sub League Committee, members of the College Students' Union, Student Department directly under the League Committee and members of the school students' Union.
Note:
1. The second classroom work guidance group of college students is responsible for the overall guidance and planning of the course, and the Youth League Committee, as the subordinate office, is responsible for the promotion of specific work and the summary and submission of achievements;
2. In principle, the Ministry of education / the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League / Jiangsu Provincial Committee / the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League / the Department of education and so on shall be the organizing unit for the recognition of individual awards. The same award shall be highly recognized without accumulation, and only once;
3. "Social practice" activities refer to the social practice activities of "going to the countryside for three times" during the summer vacation, and the relevant provisions of the specific activities shall be subject to the social practice documents issued in the current year;
4. The measures shall be implemented from 2020 level undergraduates.
What if there is a conflict between the second class and the first class?
Students need to participate in the second classroom activities on the premise of ensuring the first classroom; if they really need to participate in major events and activities that conflict with the first classroom or examination, the activity organization department should be responsible for coordinating the students' leave or postponement in advance.
How to launch activities on Pu platform?
What approval procedures should the activity go through?
1. Initiation and audit
In principle, the "quality development" activity in the second classroom should be initiated on the Pu platform one week in advance and reported for approval.
2. Class hour distribution
Different activity hours are distributed in different ways.
"Ideological and moral cultivation", "voluntary public service", "innovation and entrepreneurship practice", "culture, art and sports" and "activities", "training" and "competition" shall be initiated by relevant colleges or departments, and the completion materials shall be submitted, and the corresponding class hours shall be issued after the approval.
In the "social practice" section, "innovation and entrepreneurship practice" section, "carry out entrepreneurial practice" activities, "culture, art and sports" section, "participate in school level, provincial art group training or school team sports training" activities, "social work resume" activities and all sections, "Awards / commendations" activities do not adopt the conventional way of name prediction, and the students themselves Submit the application and supporting materials within the unified opening time of the system, and distribute the corresponding class hours after the background approval. The personal application and supporting materials shall be submitted in March, June, September and December, from January to 15th of each month.
