Example 5: Use as a permanent anti-fingerprint coating
The polysilazane used was a fully hydrogenated polysilazane with a number average relative molecular mass of 150~150,000, and a 20% concentration of fully hydrogenated polysilazane solution was made by using dibutyl ether as a solvent, and palladium propionate with a mass fraction (based on the fully hydrogenated polysilazane) of 0.75% as a catalyst, and the coating was sprayed on a piece of drawn stainless steel (3 cm x 3 cm), ventilated for 10 minutes at room temperature and then The coating was postheat treated in a drying oven (130°C, 1 h) to cure the film, and the coating thickness was determined to be 2.1 μm. The coating can also be used on chrome-plated plastic substrates, and its coating adhesion (DIN EN ISO 2409-2013) was class 0. The fingerprint resistance was assessed by replicating fingerprints on the painted substrate, and then wiping them off vigorously with a cotton cloth to visually assess the ability to remove the fingerprints. The fingerprint resistance was assessed by visually evaluating the ability to remove fingerprints after the fingerprints were reproduced on the coated substrate and rubbed with a cotton cloth. The results showed that fingerprints on the coated substrate could be easily and completely removed, while fingerprints on the same uncoated substrate could not be completely removed no matter how hard they were wiped. The long-lasting test against fingerprints also showed that the coating could obtain satisfactory results. The test method was to store the coated substrate and the uncoated substrate at room temperature for two weeks, and then wipe the coated and uncoated surfaces with isopropyl alcohol to remove fingerprint traces left on the surfaces, and the result was that fingerprint traces on the coated surfaces could be easily and completely removed, whereas fingerprint traces on the uncoated substrate were still visible to the eye.
Example 6: Hydrophilic coating
Using an impregnation device with a stepper motor speed of 20 cm/min, a polycarbonate plate (10 cm×10 cm) was immersed in a n-dibutyl ether solution of 20% fully hydrogenated polysilazane, and after a 10 s dwell time, the plate was withdrawn from the solution at a speed of 20 cm/min, allowed to drip briefly, and then was exposed to air for 10 min, and then immersed in a water bath of BYK's LPN-6640 Then immersed in Bickel's LPN-6640 additives (10% concentration) in water (the original solution is 40% concentration, diluted with water at 3:1), placed in this solution for 24 h after washing with water to determine the contact angle of the coating and water is 10 ° below; using the same method can also be made of stainless steel with hydrophilic coatings, the water contact angle is also below 10 °.
Example 7: Low Oxygen Transmission Rate Coating
A polyester film sheet with a thickness of 23 μm is impregnated with a deflection roller at a rate of 3 m/min in a 5% fully hydrogenated polysilazane solution (the solvent is xylene or dibutyl ester) for traction. In this process, only the front of the film is in contact with the perhydrosilazane solution, and the back of the film is covered by the deflector roller. The coated film is then passed through an infrared oven with a length of 60 cm for about 12 s, and then heated up to 60° C. The resulting coating is clear and transparent. An oxygen permeability test was carried out at 0% relative atmospheric humidity, and the results showed that the oxygen permeability value of the coated film was 14 mL/(dm2-bar), whereas the oxygen permeability value of the unpainted film was 85 mL/(dm2-bar).
Example 8: Anti-staining paint
A coating consisting of a 0.5% to 10% polysilazane aromatic (petroleum solvent oil, or paraffinic solvent, or alicyclic solvent) solution and a 4,4′-trimethylene-bis(1-methylpiperidinium) catalyst (in an amount of 0.2% or less) is coated on the body of an automobile, the wheel hubs, and the surfaces of denture teeth, monuments, and the interior and exterior walls of a house, to form a dense, hard coating film with long-lasting, hydrophilic, and antifouling effects. The coating can also be used in lavatories, kitchens, washrooms, bathtubs, etc., as well as on signage, plastic products and glass products to provide a stain-resistant effect.
Example 9: Anti-graffiti coating
The polysilazane coating has a high cross-linking density and low surface energy (105 mN/m), extremely high hardness, and good scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and corrosion resistance, and can be used in high-temperature environments of over 600°C. Therefore, the coating is particularly resistant to the penetration of inks and colors, and prevents graffiti, and is extremely easy to clean, and can be used in buildings and public transportation, and is currently being used in the European railroad transportation system.
