Silicone resin is a class of siloxane prepolymer with a branched structure, which is heated under the action of a catalyst or further generated by an addition reaction into a polymer with a body structure. Because of the relatively high bond energy of the silicone oxygen bond in the main chain of silicone and the specificity of the molecular structure, silicone resin has high heat resistance and excellent electrical properties. Silicone resin is mainly used for electrical insulation materials, mica binder and preparation of high-performance coatings and so on.
1.H-class silicone electrical insulating paint
Due to the silicone main chain in the silicon oxygen bond bond energy is relatively high and the molecular structure of the specificity of the silicone material can be in the 180 ℃ high temperature and -55 ℃ low temperature is a very wide range of temperature range of long-term work of the characteristics of the general synthetic polymer materials do not have. In addition, the dielectric constant of silicone resin does not rise with temperature, which is also common polymer materials can not be compared. In the motor manufacturing industry will be silicone materials listed as H-class insulation materials (can withstand long-term high temperature of 180 ℃). The same power motor insulated with silicone its relatively small size, can be used in small space submarines, airplanes. Silicone-insulated motors can be operated for short periods of overload without burning out, and are highly reliable, making them suitable for hill-climbing and traction motors, as well as motors used in hot environments such as blast furnaces.
2. Silicone resin for contact pressure molding laminates
Silicone glass cloth laminates can withstand high temperatures and have good electrical properties. Its dielectric constant does not rise with temperature, and it is a good material for transmitting radar waves. Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Technology Wu Shengquan, Nie Changjie, Zheng Daode and the author developed for the production of contact pressure laminates binder, called "469 silicone resin", successfully used in the aviation materials sector for the production of aircraft radome.
3. Organosilicon glass resin and high temperature resistant organosilicon mica binder
China's earliest silicone glass resin and high-temperature mica binder research is the Ministry of Chemical Industry Chenguang Institute of Chemical Industry Huo Changshun, Chen Rufeng, etc., they were developed in the late 1970s with a successful one-methyltriethoxysilane hydrolysis polycondensation reaction in the presence of acid catalysts to produce CTS-103 silicone resins, commonly known as "silicone glass resins It is commonly known as "silicone glass resin". The resin was used in the early days for the treatment of high-grade paper, as well as the coating protection of metal surfaces, and also for the bonding of mica flakes or mica powder.
4.Organosilicon Molding Plastic
In the 1960s, China's aviation industry is in urgent need of an arc-resistant silicone molding compound that can withstand strong currents and high voltages for the production of micro-switches. Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Technology successfully developed a methyl trichlorosilane as raw material for the direct hydrolysis of silicone resin, with asbestos filler made of arc-resistant molding compounds, to solve the urgent needs of the aviation industry.
This material was later transferred to Shanghai Resin Factory for production. After a small amount of demand for Shanghai Resin Factory no longer produces, but users still need this material, they had to move to Sichuan Chenguang Chemical Industry Research Institute for help. Wu Shengquan of the Institute to meet the urgent needs of the user, changed from a methyltriethoxysilane as the starting material for the hydrolysis of the condensation route to prepare a silicone resin for molding plastics with the required performance, to solve the urgent needs of the user.
5. Silicone resin encapsulating material
Into the late 1960s, with the development of China's electronics industry, the need for excellent electrical insulation properties, high temperature, moisture, non-combustible silicone encapsulants to encapsulate large and small power diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and other electronic devices. China's earlier engaged in the development of such resins are the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Chemistry Zhang Xinghua, He Jigang, as well as Shanghai Resin Factory, Zhang Kikai, Li Yan sound, etc., they developed a variety of products to fill the gaps in the country.
6. Silicone resin modified coatings
General silicone resin is mostly composed of polymethylsiloxane and polyphenylsiloxane. Silicone resin containing phenyl has better co-compatibility with organic resin than methyl silicone resin, and the introduction of silicone resin containing phenyl in general coatings can improve the temperature resistance and water resistance of general coatings.
In the coatings industry can contain phenyl silicone resin with blending or copolymerization method to produce high-performance silicone coatings. As early as in the 1960s, Tianjin Paint Factory and Shanghai Resin Factory successfully developed silicone-modified synthetic resin coatings, and developed a variety of good performance varieties, such as both heat-resistant and adhesive properties of silicone-modified epoxy resin.
