1、Polyamide resin characteristics
(1) Narrow softening point
The unique advantage of polyamide resins is that they have an extremely narrow range of softening points, in contrast to the gradual curing or softening process of other thermoplastic resins. When the temperature is slightly below the melting point, other thermoplastic resins may trigger a sharp curing phenomenon, while polyamide resin does not have such a problem.
(2) Chemical resistance
Polyamide resin has good chemical resistance, can resist acid and alkali, vegetable oil, mineral oil and so on.
(3)Gluability
Because it has amino, carbonyl, amide and other polar groups in the molecule, it has good gluing performance for wood, pottery, paper, cloth, brass, aluminum and phenolic resin, polyester resin, polyethylene and other plastics.
In addition, polyamide resin has a certain value of recycling, can be recycled and reuse through the waste products to reduce production costs.
2、Classification of polyamide resin
Polyamide resin can be divided into two categories according to the characteristics:
(2) non-reactive or neutral polyamide
Neutral polyamide is mainly used for the production of inks, thermal bonding binder and coatings, neutral dimer acid polyamide resin in polyethylene and other substrates with good adhesion, especially suitable for printing on plastic films such as polyethylene-faced packaging film, metal foil composite laminate film; neutral polyamide resin formulated ink has a glossy finish, good bonding properties, alcohol dilution is excellent, low gelling, fast drying, small odor.
Dimer acid-based thermal bonding resin, widely used in shoe making, can making, packaging and bookbinding; neutral polyamide resin other uses include the preparation of thixotropic coatings, civil water-based adhesive, fabric antistatic agent, transparent candles and detergents.
(2) reactive polyamide
Reactive polyamide for epoxy resin aging agent, and for thermosetting surface coatings, adhesives, lining materials and can sealing, mold casting resin.
Reactive polyamide resin is further reacted and used as a curing agent for epoxy resin to produce a wide range of cross-linking into thermosetting resin. When used as a curing agent, it has the advantages of great randomness, non-toxicity, curing at room temperature, and softness without brittleness, etc., which can make the epoxy resin have excellent adhesion, flexibility, toughness, resistance to chemicals, resistance to humidity, and surface finish.
