1, the characteristics of silicone resin
Organosilicone resin is a high temperature resistant material with excellent performance, and the general structure formula is shown in Fig.1 [1]. In the formula, R represents organic groups such as methyl, phenyl or vinyl. From the structural formula, it can be seen that the silicone resin is a crosslinked semi-inorganic polymer containing inorganic Si-O main chain and organic side groups, which has the dual properties of organic and inorganic materials. Compared with similar carbon-based polymers, silicone resins have a number of superior properties. The following are the main properties:
① high temperature stability: in a high temperature environment, the silicone resin to maintain stability, can withstand high temperatures of more than 300 ℃.
② chemical resistance: silicone resins can resist acid, alkali, solvents and other chemicals, so in the chemical-resistant coatings, sealants and adhesives and other fields are widely used.
③ Electrical insulation properties: silicone resin is an excellent electrical insulation material, maintaining insulation properties in a wide range of temperatures.
Elasticity and flexibility: silicone resin has good elasticity and flexibility, adapt to various shapes and surfaces.
⑤ Ultraviolet stability: silicone resin has good stability to ultraviolet rays and is not easy to yellow and aging.
2、Classification of silicone resin
Organic silicone resin has a variety of classification methods, as follows:
① According to the different silicone chain links, it can be divided into methyl silicone resin, phenyl silicone resin, fluorosilicone resin and so on.
Methyl silicone resin is a kind of silicone resin with low carbon content, which has the advantages of hardness and transparency, low weight loss at high temperature and low fuming after curing. It is mainly used as hardening coating, high temperature resistant mica bonding agent and resistance coating.
Methyl phenyl silicone resin due to the introduction of phenyl, so that its thermal elasticity, adhesion, and with organic and inorganic filler compatibility is better than methyl silicone resin. It is widely used as high-temperature-resistant electric insulating paint, high-temperature-resistant paint, and high-temperature-resistant adhesive.
Fluorosilicone resins are organic fluorosilicone polymers introduced into other polymers to improve their surface properties and synthesize some functional low surface energy polymer materials. It can improve the surface properties of polyurethane polymers and epoxy resins, such as water resistance, oil resistance and abrasion resistance.
② According to the different degrees of polymerization, silicone resin can be divided into low polymerization silicone resin and polycondensation silicone resin.
③ According to the use of classification, silicone resin can be divided into plasticizer silicone resin, insulation impregnant silicone resin and preparation of coatings with silicone resin.
④According to the different curing methods, silicone resins can be divided into heat-curing silicone resins, room temperature curing silicone resins and ultraviolet light curing silicone resins.
