1、Synthesis of silicone resin
Organosilicone resins are synthesized in a variety of ways, common methods include:
①Crosslinking method
This is a commonly used method of silicone resin synthesis, the basic principle is to prepare silicone resins through the crosslinking reaction of silicone monomers. The crosslinking reaction is generally carried out at high temperature, and requires a crosslinking agent or initiator to promote the reaction. Organic silicone resin synthesized by crosslinking method has high molecular weight and good mechanical properties.
②Polymerization method
Polymerization method is also a common method of silicone resin synthesis, the basic principle lies in the preparation of silicone resin through the polymerization of silicone monomer. Organosilicon monomers are usually compounds containing silicon-oxygen bonds, such as silicon, silanol and so on. The polymerization reaction is generally carried out at high temperatures and requires a catalyst or initiator to promote the reaction. Organosilicone resin synthesized by polymerization method has high molecular weight and good thermal stability.
③Condensation method
Condensation is another common method of silicone resin synthesis, the basic principle is to prepare silicone resin through the condensation reaction of silicone monomer. Condensation reaction is generally carried out at room temperature, usually requires an acidic or alkaline catalyst to promote the reaction. Organosilicone resins synthesized by the condensation method have lower molecular weights and better solubility.
In addition, there are other special synthesis pathways, such as sol-gel method, solvent method and so on.
④Sol-gel method
For a common means of silicone resin preparation, the basic concept of the organosilicon monomer through the sol-gel process to realize the formation of silicone resin. This process usually requires the use of solvents and catalysts to regulate the progress of the reaction.
⑤Solvent method
The basic principle is to carry out the reaction of silicone monomer in the solvent to obtain silicone resin. The silicone resin synthesized by solvent method has low molecular weight and good solubility.
2、Application fields of silicone resin
Organic silicone resins have a wide range of applications and various functions, the following are the main application areas:
①Industrial sealing materials: silicone resin is used in the production of various types of sealing components, sealants and greases, etc., with excellent sealing performance and high temperature resistance.
