Liu Ehu, researcher, Li Jing, associate professor and Li Ping, State Key Laboratory of natural drug active components and efficacy, China Pharmaceutical University, published the title of "citrus polymer flavors attractive metallic syndrome by regulating guide microorganism and amino acid" in science advanced on January 3, 2020 Metabolism, the study explored the polymethoxyflavone rich extract of tangerine peel by establishing cell model and high-fat diet induced obesity model of living animals, The effect of pmfe on the improvement of metabolic syndrome suggests that pmfe can improve the disorder of lipid metabolism through intestinal flora. Pmfe may be a potential prebiotic for the improvement of obesity metabolic syndrome, which has potential application value for the treatment of metabolic diseases.
Abstract
Metabolic syndrome is closely related to intestinal flora and host metabolic disorder. Through 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing and metabonomics, it was found for the first time that pmfe could effectively improve the metabolic syndrome induced by high fat diet (HFD). The results of fecal microbe transplantation (FMT) and antibiotic treatment showed that the metabolic improvement of pmfe depended on the intestinal flora, and the intestinal flora was related to the branched chain amino acid in the host blood and feces, The regulation of BCAA level is significantly related to metabolic characteristics, and has a positive effect on the therapeutic intervention of pmfe. It should be noted that pmfe significantly increased the level of Bacillus Bacteroides ovatus (B. ovatus), and oral administration of B. ovatus could reduce the BCAA level of obese mice induced by high-fat diet and improve the metabolic syndrome. In conclusion, pmfe can be used as a potential prebiotic to improve metabolic syndrome, and the specific target intestinal flora may have a unique therapeutic prospect.
