Hexamethyldisilazane, colorless and transparent liquid. It is easy to hydrolyze and release NH3 to form hexamethyldisilane. In the presence of catalyst, it reacts with alcohol or phenol to form trimethylalkoxysilane or trimethylaryloxysilane. Reacting with anhydrous hydrogen chloride, NH3 or NH4Cl is released to form trimethylchlorosilane. It can be prepared by reaction of trimethylchlorosilane with NH3. It can be used as a hydrophobic treatment agent for fumed silica surface and a reagent to provide N atom in organic synthesis reaction. It can also be used as an assistant for silicon carbide fiber to improve the heat resistance and strength of silicon carbide fiber and as an anti precipitation agent for coating. It is also used to prepare organosilicon compounds.


Application 1: pharmaceutical intermediate, involving amikacin, penicillin, cephalosporin, fluorouracil and various penicillin derivatives, etc.






Application 2: downstream product of organosilicon, methyl ethyl silicone rubber, silica, diatomite treatment agent.






Application 3: semiconductor industry, adhesive agent of photoresist.


Hexamethyldisiloxane (silicone ether, mm sealing agent), colorless and transparent liquid, easy to deliquesce. Insoluble in water, soluble in a variety of organic solvents. It can be used as silicone oil, silicone rubber, medicine, stationary liquid of gas chromatography, analytical reagent, hydrophobic agent, etc. It is prepared by hydrolysis of trimethylchlorosilane.
