4. Suggestions on the use of toughening agent in low hardness silica rubber
(1) Because of the small intermolecular shear and small temperature rise in the mixing of low hardness silica gel, it is recommended to control the mixing temperature between 40 degrees and 50 degrees, that is, to improve the dispersion degree of toughening agent in silica gel, improve the toughening effect, but also to shorten the mixing time.
(2)0.3 PHR toughening agent can obviously improve the machinability of low hardness silica gel, so that the rubber is easy to roll and mixing operation.
(3) For applications requiring high transparency, it is recommended to control the amount of toughening agent, and 0.3 PHR is the best.
(4) For the products that need to add a large number of functional fillers, such as products with high electrical conductivity and high thermal conductivity, the amount of toughening agent should be increased to facilitate the realization of higher filling.
