At present, electric vehicles mainly use lithium-ion batteries as power batteries. After years of development, the safety of lithium-ion power batteries has been significantly improved. Therefore, it is urgent to find new materials with more fire retardant function for lithium battery sealing protection equipment. At present, the commonly used power battery thermal insulation materials are foam, plastic foam, ultrafine glass wool, high silicon oxygen cotton, vacuum heat insulation board, etc., but in the promotion of new energy vehicles, there are advantages and disadvantages.

The core energy source of new energy vehicles is the battery pack, which provides driving power for the vehicle. To protect the components of the battery pack from dust and rain, the shell sealing equipment of the battery pack must meet the following six functions: flame retardant, high temperature resistance, low thermal conductivity, no toxic gas, waterproof, moisture-proof, shockproof, light weight, thin thickness, and affordable.
