The heat applied then triggers chemical cross-linking of the resin molecules. In contrast, room temperature curing systems do not require the application of heat. Physical drying and chemical crosslinking occur simultaneously at room temperature.
Room temperature cured silicone resins are high in oxygen functional groups and the low molecular weight of the product results in a very low viscosity, so it is good for processing, such as spraying. In addition, this system has a very high active substance content, allowing the preparation of a high solid coating system with a very low VOC content.
In general, room temperature cured methyl silicone resin time is not suitable for most factory production, but high temperature cured silicone resin can be cured in a short time, more conducive to mechanized production.
