Waterborne superhydrophobic coatings are environmentally friendly coatings that have received widespread attention in recent years, but their performance is severely limited by the dispersion of hydrophobic particles. In order to solve the problem of poor dispersion of hydrophobic modified silica powder, a water-borne coating was successfully prepared by blending silica dispersion with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lotion and modified aluminum tripolyphosphate (ATP) dispersion. Prepare multifunctional coatings using a one-step spray method. It has good adhesion (Grade 1), excellent stain resistance, impact resistance, chemical stability (acid and alkali resistance for 96 hours of immersion), and corrosion resistance (3.5wt% NaCl solution for 20 days). More importantly, the ultra hydrophobic coating has high contact angle (CAs) and low sliding angle (SAs) for ethylene glycol (CAs=154 ± 0.8 °; SAs=13 ± 0.7 °) and water (CAs=158 ± 0.7 °; SAs=4 ± 0.3 °). In addition, the composite coating remained hydrophobic after 35 cycles of wear with high roughness sandpaper (120 mesh) under three different loads, and remained superhydrophobic at 425 ℃. This work is expected to provide a simple approach and method for preparing waterborne superhydrophobic coatings.
