Novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control youth commando team was established by the 11 teachers and students from the school of public health and School of medicine and public health, Nanjing Medical University from April 10th to April 21st. The team participated in the serological epidemiological investigation of asymptomatic patients with new crown pneumonia in Jiangsu province. The team was also involved in the serological investigation of asymptomatic patients with new crown pneumonia in Jiangsu province.
The investigation was carried out in 13 prefecture level cities in Jiangsu Province by Jiangsu Provincial Health Committee at the request of national ministries and commissions, together with Jiangsu public security department and civil affairs department. In order to further enhance the scientific understanding of the epidemic characteristics and transmission risks of asymptomatic infection, and to carry out more scientific prevention and control. In the current stage, the seroepidemiological investigation can help to answer many prevention and control questions, such as the scope of infection, transmission mechanism and mortality rate of new coronavirus, and lay an important foundation for the final victory of epidemic prevention and control.
The young teachers and students of Nanjing Medical University participated in the work assisted in the delivery of experimental equipment, software system installation training, streaming data entry and review, laboratory test report recording, data analysis and other work in 13 prefecture level cities; assisted local disease control in carrying out questionnaire survey and quality control, and checked identity information.
