Water based ceramic coating

Hits: 485 img

Water based ceramic coating is a new coating technology that uses water as a diluent to make ceramic materials into a coating, which is then coated on the surface of an object to form a protective film. This coating has excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, insulation, etc., and is widely used in aerospace, automotive, energy, chemical and other fields.

There are many methods to prepare water-based ceramic coatings, one of which is the sol-gel method. This method involves hydrolyzing and polymerizing metal alkoxides or inorganic salts in water to form a sol, which is then coated on the surface of the object under certain conditions. After drying and heat treatment, a coating is formed. The water-based ceramic coating prepared by sol-gel method has the advantages of good crystal structure, high density and strong adhesion.

The main components of water-based ceramic coatings are ceramic materials, such as aluminum oxide, silicon oxide, zirconia, etc. These materials play a skeleton role in the coating, which can improve the hardness and wear resistance of the coating. In addition, some organic binders and leveling agents are added to the water-based ceramic coating, which can improve the fluidity and adhesion of the coating.
