Organosilicon transparent resin is methyl triethoxysilane as the main raw material, through hydrolysis, condensation to produce methyl silicone resin prepolymer. It is also called glass resin because of its high transparency and glass-like appearance after curing.
As the value of R/Si in glass resin is small (equal to or slightly greater than 1), the functionality is very large, so the resin has the characteristics of low-temperature rapid curing, good film-forming properties. If you add a small amount of drying agent, at 50 ~ 60 β within a few minutes the resin can be cured into a film; even if you do not add a drying agent, baked at 100 β for a few hours, or at room temperature for a few days can also be cured film.
Glass resin can be dissolved in ethanol, butanol, ethyl acetate, benzene, xylene and ketones, etc. The most commonly used solvent is ethanol. The most commonly used solvent is ethanol. The main characteristics of silicone glass resin is hard and transparent, the film after the film insulation performance is good, and wear-resistant, heat-resistant, aging-resistant, radiation-resistant, low-temperature does not embrittle, hydrophobic, moisture-proof, non-toxic, strong light transmittance, etc., can be used as a transparent protective coating for glass, plexiglass, polycarbonate, acrylics, lenses, aircraft and automotive windshield panels, imitation of gold artifacts, metalized plastics, playing cards, high-level pictorials and so on. It is a transparent protective coating for glass. In addition, because the refractive index of the glass resin coating is lower than any transparent plastic, so it can increase the light transmittance and improve the optical performance by reducing the interfacial reflection.
Glass resin can also be used as an insulating and moisture-proof coating for electronic and electrical components. The glass resin treated non-standard resistors, carbon film resistors, ceramic skeleton resistors, phenolic resin skeleton inductance coil and polystyrene skeleton inductance coil, etc. are moisture-proof, insulating effect, the electrical performance parameters are stable, high-frequency performance is particularly prominent, in line with technical requirements; and the appearance of bright and smooth, clean and beautiful. In addition, the glass resin instead of epoxy varnish and ordinary silicone insulating coating impregnation of small transformer coils, can be avoided due to the use of the above two insulating coatings, benzene solvent poisoning and air pollution problems.
