By application field and corresponding lifespan
In the field of industrial equipment, high temperature, wear-resistant, and anti-corrosion coatings are generally used for the outer walls of industrial furnaces, such as RLHY-9035 high temperature, wear-resistant, and anti-corrosion coatings, with a normal service life of 3-5 years. Some high-temperature resistant coatings used in petroleum and petrochemical cracking equipment, high-temperature desulfurization equipment, etc. can be used for 5-10 years under relatively stable working conditions; But if it is in an extreme environment with high temperature, high pressure, and strong corrosive media, it may take 2-3 years to replace it.
Aerospace field: High temperature resistant coatings on aircraft engine turbine blades must withstand extremely high temperatures and complex airflow impacts, such as coatings that can work stably for more than 5 hours at high temperatures of 1120 ° C. In actual use, depending on the flight mission and engine operating time, coatings may need to be inspected, maintained, or even replaced after hundreds to thousands of hours of flight.
In the daily life field: Taking polytetrafluoroethylene coated pots as an example, if used infrequently, with gentle cooking methods and proper cleaning, their service life may reach 5 years or even longer; If frequently cooked at high temperatures or scraped with metal utensils, the coating may show significant wear and tear within 1-2 years.
According to the coating material and corresponding lifespan
Ceramic coating: It has good high temperature resistance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. In normal industrial high temperature environments, its service life can reach 5-10 years or even longer. But if subjected to frequent mechanical impact or thermal shock, cracks, peeling and other phenomena may occur, leading to a shortened service life.
Metal ceramic coating: Combining the advantages of metal and ceramic, the general service life is around 3-8 years. Under the combined effects of high temperature, wear, and corrosion, it performs better than pure metal coatings, but the cost is relatively high.
Organic silicon coating: can be used for a long time at temperatures of 200-300 ℃, with a general service life of 3-5 years. In some outdoor high-temperature environments that require high weather resistance, such as high-temperature pipelines, organic silicon coatings can maintain their performance well, but long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation may accelerate the aging rate of the coating.
