The all hydrogen polysilazane liquid coating material IOTA PHPS, with its excellent performance, has emerged in the field of rail transit and become an indispensable protective material.
IOTA PHPS has its unique adaptability in rail transit applications. In terms of product characteristics, its good solubility makes it easy to mix with relevant solvents and formulate coatings suitable for large-scale construction, meeting the demand for large-area coating in rail transit. The curing time is short and the curing methods are diverse. Whether it is conventional room temperature curing in the vehicle manufacturing workshop or rapid moisture curing in specific environments, they can all meet the production and maintenance rhythm of rail transit equipment, effectively improving the efficiency of equipment deployment.
In terms of technical parameters, it presents a colorless and transparent liquid appearance, which is a major advantage for rail transit vehicles that focus on neat appearance and will not affect the overall aesthetics of the vehicle. The solid content is 20%, the solvent is n-butyl ether, and the liquid density is in the reasonable range of 1.16-1.31 g/ml, ensuring the stability and operability of the coating during storage, transportation, and construction.
Focusing on coating performance, the coating composition is mainly SiOx with a thickness greater than 100nm, providing a solid protective foundation for rail transit equipment. In terms of hardness, after solidification with ammonia water, the hardness can reach 3GPa, and at high temperatures, it can reach 8-10 GPa. Such hardness is sufficient to resist physical wear and tear such as sand and stone impact and airflow erosion that trains may experience during high-speed operation. The elastic modulus can also reach a suitable value under corresponding curing conditions, ensuring that the coating will not easily break when subjected to certain deformations. Its pencil hardness performance is excellent, which can effectively prevent surface scratches caused by daily maintenance, passenger contact, etc. And the transparency (visible light) is greater than 90%, allowing the train body and other parts to always maintain a good appearance.
In terms of adhesion, the scratch test reached level 0, which means that the coating can firmly adhere to various material surfaces inside the metal shell and carriage of the train. Whether it is the metal frame or the polymer interior, it can be tightly combined with it without peeling off due to frequent vibration, temperature changes, and other factors. At the same time, it has strong temperature resistance and can withstand temperatures up to 800 degrees Celsius. Whether the train is running in a high-temperature environment or during high-temperature processes such as braking, the coating can play a stable role. In addition, it has strong anti rust, alkali resistance, and salt water resistance, which can effectively cope with harsh environments around the track, such as humidity, salt alkali, etc., and prevent equipment from rusting and corroding.
In the construction process, the surface of the rail transit equipment is first strictly cleaned to remove impurities such as oil and dust. Then, efficient construction methods such as spraying and immersion coating are used for coating. After the construction is completed, it can be treated according to the corresponding curing requirements.
