Anhui IOTA Unveils IOTA 9283: Revolutionary Hydrophobic Polysilazane Material Redefines Coating Technology

Anhui IOTA Silicone Oil Co., Ltd. today launched IOTA 9283, an innovative organopolysilazane material engineered for ambient-cure hydrophobic coating systems. Featuring methyl and fluorine-modified groups, this breakthrough product combines high transparency, superior hydrophobicity, and exceptional mechanical properties, set to transform standards in advanced coatings, composites, and easy-clean applications.

IOTA 9283 achieves room-temperature curing via unique Si-NH-Si bonds, reacting with substrate hydroxyl groups to deliver 0-class adhesion (cross-cut test). Its fluorine-containing structure ensures a water contact angle of 110°-120°, maintaining 109° after 350°C heat treatment, while boasting >95% visible light transmittance. With ultra-low viscosity (2-5cp), it supports dip, spray, and brush application on metals, glass, and plastics (e.g., PP, PC). The cured coating reaches 6H hardness, <1% linear shrinkage, and >100μm cracking threshold.

Compatible with non-polar solvents (alkanes, ethers) and epoxy-silicone resins, IOTA 9283 enables accelerated curing at 60-200°C. Supplied with 10% solid content, it offers 12-month shelf life (unopened) and requires nitrogen-sealed storage post-opening. IOTA 9283 is poised to revolutionize long-term anti-fouling solutions in electronics, architectural facades, and high-end kitchenware, driving industry-wide efficiency and sustainability.
