New Organic Polysilazane IOTA 9118 Launched for High-Performance High-Temperature Coatings

A new organic polysilazane, IOTA 9118, has been officially launched, specifically engineered for high-performance, high-temperature coating systems. Featuring vinyl functional groups, this liquid polysilazane offers low viscosity, excellent adhesion, and superior thermal resistance, making it suitable for a wide range of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, and plastics. It is ideal for use in coatings, adhesives, composites, and precision devices.

IOTA 9118 delivers outstanding oxidation and corrosion resistance after curing, with a ceramic yield of up to 60–70% at 800°C. The clear coat formulation is recommended for use below 800°C, while in combination with a base coat, it can withstand temperatures as high as 1600°C. The product supports multiple curing methods, including thermal and UV curing, offering flexibility for various processing requirements.

With its exceptional chemical stability and ease of application, IOTA 9118 significantly enhances coating performance and provides a reliable material solution for advanced manufacturing industries.
