Recently, an adhesive named IOTA 9118 has garnered significant attention in the market. IOTA 9118 adhesive features low surface tension, easy cleaning, and excellent technical parameters. With a suitable molecular weight, a purity exceeding 99%, stable density, and low viscosity, it is convenient for processing and use. After curing, the hardness reaches 6-7H, and the coating hydrophobicity angle is 100°-105°, demonstrating outstanding waterproof performance. In terms of curing methods, IOTA 9118 adhesive supports both thermal curing and UV curing, with flexible and controllable curing times. During thermal curing, peroxide-based thermal cross-linking agents can be added to reduce the curing temperature and shorten the curing time. For UV curing, cleavage-type photoinitiators can be added to achieve rapid curing.
Under pyrolysis conditions, the cured IOTA 9118 product can be transformed into amorphous ceramic or crystalline ceramic, with the specific composition closely related to the pyrolysis atmosphere. Additionally, the adhesive is miscible with various non-polar solvents and resins, and mixing use can shorten the curing time and increase resin hardness.
