IOTA 9120 is a liquid organoborosilazane with repeating Si-N and Si-N-B units, dual-functional as thermosetting resin and ceramic precursor. It converts to high-performance SiBCN ceramic via pyrolysis under mild conditions, redefining high-temperature material preparation standards. Its versatile curing options include crosslinking at 120-180℃ in air/inert atmosphere, or rapid curing (2-5h) at 80-100℃ via platinum-catalyzed hydrosilylation, adapting to diverse processes and boosting production efficiency.
Key advantages include low viscosity (<500 mPa·s at 25℃) for excellent flowability, enabling uniform coating on metals, ceramics, graphite via impregnation, spraying, or brushing with adhesion strength >2.0MPa; high ceramic yield (85%), pyrolyzing to amorphous ceramic below 1600℃ and crystalline ceramic above 1600℃, with tunable composition—SiC/Si3N4 under N2/Ar, Si3N4-dominant in NH3, and SiBOCN in air, meeting varied performance needs.
Widely applied as precursor for ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) in aerospace engine components; interface modifier for metal matrix composites to enhance mechanical properties and corrosion resistance; high-temperature adhesive bonding metals/ceramics at 1200℃; anti-corrosion and high-temperature oxidation-resistant coatings; and key component in ceramic preform impregnation, thermosetting resins, and organic-inorganic hybrid materials, expanding high-end material applications.
User-friendly with alkane/ether dilution for flexibility, but requires protection from water, alcohols, and acids/bases to prevent hydrolysis. Packaged in 1L/5L sealed metal drums, 6-month unopened shelf life, and >2-month post-opening life with sealed low-temperature storage, ensuring stability and cost-effectiveness.
IOTA 9120 integrates "low viscosity + high ceramic yield + multi-functional adaptability" to deliver full-chain material solutions from organic resin to inorganic ceramic for new energy, advanced manufacturing, and aerospace. It empowers clients to突破 high-temperature material bottlenecks, achieving product upgrades and market competitiveness enhancement.
