Furthermore, silane coupling agent hydrolysis reaction occurs in the water phase, by-products such as methanol, ethanol and other low molecular alcohols, is flammable and toxic components, for water-based coatings, it is VOC, and VOC is a water-based coatings strict control of the indicators, so silane coupling agent modified water-based coatings can not be a fundamental solution to solve the problem of low VOC and zero VOC, and ultimately will make the application of limitations.
