Ultra high voltage transmission scenario
High voltage withstand capability: The voltage level of ultra-high voltage transmission lines is extremely high, reaching 1000 kV and above. The insulation material needs to have super strong high voltage resistance performance, which can stably withstand such high voltage for a long time without breakdown, ensuring safe and efficient long-distance transmission of electrical energy.
Electric field uniformity control: In high voltage environments, it is necessary to ensure that the electric field distribution is as uniform as possible to avoid insulation damage caused by excessive local electric field strength. This requires the insulation material to have good dielectric properties, which can homogenize the electric field and prevent situations such as corona discharge that affect the stability of power transmission.
High frequency and high-speed signal transmission scenarios
Low dielectric constant and low dielectric loss: With the continuous improvement of automation and informatization in smart grids, there is a large demand for high-frequency and high-speed signal transmission, such as in communication lines between smart meters, relay protection devices, and other equipment. Insulation materials need to have a low dielectric constant to reduce signal transmission delay, while also having low dielectric loss to avoid excessive signal attenuation during transmission, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of signal transmission.
Signal integrity guarantee: To maintain the integrity of the signal, insulation materials must not interfere with or reflect the signal, and must have stable and appropriate electrical properties that can adapt to the characteristics of high-frequency and high-speed signal transmission, helping to ensure the reliable operation of the intelligent power grid system.
Complex environmental tolerance scenarios
High temperature environment tolerance: Equipment such as transformers and switches in substations generate a large amount of heat during operation, resulting in high ambient temperatures. Insulation materials need to maintain good insulation performance, mechanical properties, and chemical stability in such high temperature environments to prevent performance degradation such as softening and decomposition due to temperature rise, which can affect the normal operation of equipment and even the entire power grid.
Low temperature environment adaptation: In some high-altitude and cold regions, insulation materials for transmission lines and equipment should be able to withstand extremely low temperatures, avoid problems such as brittleness and cracking, ensure that insulation can function normally in low temperature environments, and ensure stable power supply of the power grid in cold regions.
Resistance to damp and salt spray environments: In coastal areas and some areas with high humidity, power grid equipment will be exposed to humid air or even salt spray environments for a long time. Insulation materials need to have excellent moisture-proof and salt spray erosion resistance to prevent moisture and salt from infiltrating and causing insulation performance degradation, leakage and other safety hazards.
