IOTA 9120 is a groundbreaking liquid precursor polymer with a unique structure of repeating Si-N and Si-N-B units, seamlessly integrating the functions of thermosetting resin and ceramic precursor. It converts into high-temperature-resistant SiBCN ceramics under mild pyrolysis conditions, offering an efficient solution for advanced high-temperature applications.

Key Advantages:

  1. Flexible & Efficient Curing : Dual curing pathways available—crosslinking at 120-180°C in air or inert atmosphere, or hydrosilylation at 80-100°C with platinum catalyst. Curing time ranges from 2-5 hours, adapting to diverse production needs.
  2. Superior Ceramic Performance : Pyrolysis of cured products yields amorphous ceramics below 1600°C and crystalline ceramics above 1600°C. Ceramic composition is precisely tunable via atmosphere control: SiC/Si₃N₄ (N₂/Ar), Si₃N₄ (NH₃), or SiBOCN (air), ensuring tailored performance for specific scenarios.
  3. Exceptional Material Compatibility : Low viscosity and high flowability enable strong adhesion to metals, ceramics, and graphite. Dilutable with dry solvents, it suits impregnation, coating, and composite molding processes, delivering a ceramic yield of 50% (at 800°C) and density of 1.70-2.00g/cm³.
  4. Stable Storage & Process Adaptability : Sensitive to water, alcohols, acids, and bases; unopened shelf life is 6 months, and 2+ months under sealed, low-temperature storage after opening. Easy tool cleaning ensures uninterrupted production.
