Recently, a new heat-curing coating resin named IOTA OPSZ 1800 (organosilicon polysilazane) has been officially launched, bringing a new breakthrough to the high-temperature coating field with its exceptional high-temperature performance and broad applicability.
IOTA OPSZ 1800 boasts a working temperature of up to 1000+°C for its coating, and in extreme conditions, its peak operating temperature can reach 1800°C, demonstrating remarkable heat resistance. The product adopts a low-viscosity solvent-free system with a solid content of up to 99.99%, and can be rapidly cured by heating to 200°C, significantly shortening the production cycle.
Notably, IOTA OPSZ 1800 can effectively reduce the curing temperature by adding free radical initiators such as dicumyl peroxide. Within the temperature range of 100°C to 180°C, curing can be completed in 1 to 90 minutes, greatly enhancing production efficiency. Meanwhile, the product can also be cured by heating at 200-250°C without an initiator system, meeting various production needs.
In terms of formulation and application, IOTA OPSZ 1800 has a typical dosage of 10-60% and is compatible with numerous solvents, including alkanes, aromatic hydrocarbons, ethers, ketones, and esters, providing great flexibility in formulation design. When heated above 700°C, the polymer can be converted into ceramic, suitable for applications such as high-temperature ceramic coatings, thermally stable corrosion-resistant coatings, and non-stick coatings.
In terms of typical coating performance, IOTA OPSZ 1800 offers a variety of colors, gloss ranging from matte to silk, a pencil hardness of >9H, good chemical resistance, and excellent thermal shock resistance, providing reliable protection for coatings in high-temperature environments.
