Recently, a new perhydropolysilazane liquid coating material named IOTA PHPS has been officially launched, bringing a new breakthrough to the field of high-performance protective coatings with its outstanding performance and broad application areas.
IOTA PHPS, also known as inorganic (perhydro) polysilazane in Chinese, is a nano-hydrophilic stain-resistant coating material. The product, mainly composed of perhydropolysilazane and diluted in a solvent, boasts good solubility, short curing time, and diverse curing methods. It exhibits strong adhesion to metals, ceramics, and polymer materials, and can be converted into SiO2 at relatively low temperatures, providing excellent protective properties for coatings.
In terms of technical parameters, IOTA PHPS is a colorless transparent liquid with a solid content of 20% and a solvent of n-butyl ether. Its density ranges from 1.16-1.31 g/ml in liquid form and 1.6-2.0 g/ml after curing. Its coating performance is remarkable, with a hardness of up to 9H (Zhonghua) or 6H (Mitsubishi), a light transmittance (visible light) >90%, and a metal adhesion (cross-cut method) of grade 0. It has a high temperature resistance (air) of up to 800°C and strong anti-rust, alkali-resistant, and saltwater-resistant properties.
IOTA PHPS is widely used in areas such as building anti-graffiti, precious metal corrosion prevention, rail transit, semiconductor insulation layers, electronic circuits, plastic packaging gas and water barrier, metal high-temperature oxidation resistance, and surface hardening coatings. Its product packaging is customized according to customer needs, using 0.5-10 liter metal drums for sealed packaging. The application methods are flexible and diverse.
In terms of storage period, unopened IOTA PHPS has a shelf life of 6 months and can be used continuously after passing inspection if it exceeds the shelf life. When using, it should be carried out in a ventilated and dry environment with necessary protective measures taken.
