May 2025 – Anhui Iota Silicone Oil Co., Ltd. announces the launch of IOTA ST1, a waterborne nano high-hardness self-cleaning coating. Combining nano-titanium dioxide photocatalysis with superhydrophobic properties, this product sets new standards in protecting metal, glass, and ceramic substrates with eco-friendly efficiency.
IOTA ST1 is an emulsion-based liquid formulated via advanced nano-coating technology. Its nano-materials reduce surface tension and generate hydroxyl radicals under UV/visible light, enabling catalytic degradation and self-cleaning: it decomposes oil stains, kills bacteria, neutralizes toxins, and purifies air by removing formaldehyde and odors. The cured transparent ceramic coating boasts 8H pencil hardness (GB/T 6739-1996), >100° water contact angle for water-sheeting effect, and high light transmittance. It withstands 200°C heat and boiling water without cracking, ensuring long-term outdoor durability.
Application is streamlined: ambient temperature spraying/dipping allows 10-30 minute tack-free time, with curing options of 170°C for 5 minutes or 1-3 days at room temperature (with 5%-8% curing agent). The 1-5μm dry film achieves 0-class adhesion (GB/T 9286-1998), making it ideal for anti-fouling solar panels, anti-oxidation metal surfaces, and UV-resistant architectural glass, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing maintenance costs.
Packaged in 25kg plastic drums or 200kg iron drums, it is non-hazardous for transport and has a 6-month shelf life.
