IOTA PHPS Perhydropolysilazane Coating Launches: 9H Hardness Redefines Multi-Industry Surface Protection

July 2025 – Anhui Aiyota Silicone Oil Co., Ltd. introduces IOTA PHPS, a perhydropolysilazane liquid coating that converts to SiO₂ via Si-N bond hydrolysis. This inorganic material combines high hardness, transparency, and heat resistance, offering versatile protection for construction, electronics, and rail transit applications.

IOTA PHPS stands out for curing efficiency and performance balance. A colorless transparent liquid (20% solid content, customizable 2-20%) with n-butyl ether solvent (density 1.16-1.31g/ml), it cures flexibly: >7 days at room temperature, or 2 hours at 150℃/90% humidity. High-temperature curing yields 8-10GPa hardness (9H China pencil/6H Mitsubishi), 100-130GPa modulus, >100nm thickness, >90% visible light transmittance, and 0-class adhesion (cross-cut test), ensuring strong bonding to metals, ceramics, and polymers.

Key properties include 800℃ heat resistance (air), excellent rust/alkaline/saltwater resistance (limited 10% HCl durability: ~1 month). Applications span coatings, precious metal corrosion protection, rail transit high-temperature layers, semiconductor insulators, electronic circuit protection, and plastic packaging gas/water barriers—ideal for high-hardness, transparency-critical scenarios.

Packaged in 0.5-10L sealed metal drums, IOTA PHPS supports spin/wipe/spray coating. Tools require acetone/solvent oil cleaning; cured coatings are solvent-resistant. Unopened shelf life is 6 months (test-validated for extended use). Application demands ventilated, dry conditions, avoiding fire and moisture.
