July 2025 – Anhui Aiyota Silicone Oil Co., Ltd. introduces IOTA OPSZ 1800, an organosilicon polysilazane thermosetting resin engineered to withstand continuous operating temperatures exceeding 1000°C and peak exposures up to 1800°C. This solvent-free, high-solids solution sets new standards for heat-resistant coatings in aerospace, metallurgy, and new energy sectors.
IOTA OPSZ 1800’s breakthrough lies in its ultra-high thermal stability and versatile curing options. With 99.99% solids and low viscosity, it cures rapidly at 200°C; adding free radical initiators (e.g., dicumyl peroxide) enables curing at 100-180°C in 1-90 minutes (0.5-1.0% initiator loading). For extreme applications, substrate heating above 425°C drives ceramic conversion, with full ceramization achieved above 700°C, transitioning from organic resin to inorganic ceramic for maximum heat resistance.
Key performance metrics include pencil hardness >9H, 10-300μm coat thickness, and excellent thermal shock/chemical resistance. Customizable in color and gloss (matte to silky), it integrates seamlessly into formulations (10-60% dosage) with alkanes, aromatics, and ethers. Ideal uses include high-temperature ceramic coatings, heat-stable anti-corrosion layers, and non-stick finishes for engine parts, sensor probes, and metallurgical equipment.
"Aiyota’s OPSZ 1800 shatters temperature limits for silicone resins, offering dual-cure flexibility for industrial and aerospace needs," said the technical director. SGS-certified (500-hour 1000°C endurance test), the resin is packaged in 20L metal drums with an 18-month shelf life. Upcoming plans include tailored formulations for EV battery thermal management and rocket engine coatings, advancing high-temperature materials toward lightweight, long-lifespan innovation.
