Organic Polysilazane IOTA 9118: Pioneering a New Era of High-Temperature Resistant Coatings

Recently, an innovative material named Organic Polysilazane IOTA 9118 has officially made its debut in the market, bringing new development opportunities to the coating and related industries with its unique high-temperature resistance and broad application fields.

IOTA 9118 is a liquid polysilazane containing a silicon-nitrogen structure with vinyl groups as the main functional groups, specifically designed for high-temperature resistant coating systems. With low viscosity and excellent adhesion, it can be applied to various substrates including metals, alloys, glass, paint films, and plastics (such as PP, PC, PVC, PMMA) through multiple application methods. Its product characteristics include high-temperature resistant coatings, diverse curing methods, non-flammability after curing, oxidation and corrosion resistance, as well as ease of cleaning, making IOTA 9118 highly promising in fields such as coatings, adhesives, non-flammable composites, and more.

Technically, IOTA 9118 presents as a light yellow transparent liquid with a molecular weight ranging from 1200 to 1400, a purity exceeding 99%, and a viscosity range of 10cp-40cp. It offers diverse curing methods including thermal curing and UV curing, with a cured hardness of 6-7H and a coating hydrophobicity angle of 100°-105°.

Moreover, the pyrolysis conditions of IOTA 9118 are also noteworthy, as its cured product can be transformed into ceramic products through high-temperature pyrolysis, with the composition closely related to the pyrolysis atmosphere. In terms of operation, IOTA 9118 should be handled in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment with necessary protective measures.

Currently, IOTA 9118 is packaged in 100ml, 1L, and 5L metal buckets and officially launched onto the market. Its outstanding performance and broad application prospects promise to bring about new transformations in the high-temperature resistant coating and related industries.
