Recently, IOTA has officially launched its innovative product—IOTA 9283 Organic Polysilazane, a liquid polysilazane specially designed for room-temperature curing hydrophobic coating systems. With its unique properties and wide range of applications, IOTA 9283 has garnered widespread attention in the coating market.

IOTA 9283 contains a silicon-nitrogen structure with functional groups mainly being methyl and fluorine-modified groups, granting it excellent hydrophobicity and good adhesion. At room temperature, IOTA 9283 can cure through the hydrolysis and oxidation reactions of Si-NH-Si bonds, forming a strong bond with the substrate surface. The cured resin forms a three-dimensional cross-linked structure, imparting superior mechanical properties to the material. Meanwhile, the presence of fluorine-containing groups ensures that the coating remains colorless and transparent, with a light transmittance exceeding 95%.

IOTA 9283 has low viscosity and good adhesion, allowing it to be applied via various methods such as coating, dipping, spraying, and brushing on a wide range of substrates including metals, alloys, glass, paint films, and plastics. Its product characteristics include hydrophobic cured coatings, short curing times, diverse curing methods, antioxidant and corrosion resistance, and easy cleaning. It is suitable for applications in coatings, adhesives, non-combustible composite materials, and more.

Technical parameters of IOTA 9283 include an appearance of colorless transparent to light yellow liquid, a moderate molecular weight, customizable purity, density, and viscosity within industry standards. After curing, it exhibits high hardness, a stable hydrophobic angle between 110°-120°, a light transmittance exceeding 95%, and a metal adhesion rating of 0.

Currently, IOTA 9283 is packaged in 100ml, 1L, and 5L metal drums for convenient transportation and storage. During use, attention should be paid to storing it in a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment away from heat sources and flames.
