IOTA Launches High-Performance Poly(silazane) Resin OPSZ-9150 for Advanced Coating Applications

IOTA has recently launched its latest innovation in high-performance coating materials — the organosilicon poly(silazane) resin OPSZ-9150. Designed for room-temperature curing, this transparent liquid resin offers exceptional mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and optical clarity, making it an ideal solution for anti-graffiti coatings, metal protection, and resin hardening applications.

OPSZ-9150 features a unique Si-NH-Si backbone structure that enables stable curing at ambient conditions. Upon curing, it forms a robust three-dimensional cross-linked network with a pencil hardness up to 9H, while maintaining over 90% visible light transmittance and a water contact angle of 105°. These properties, combined with excellent adhesion to various substrates, make it highly suitable for use on metals, glass, and other surfaces.

As a one-component system, OPSZ-9150 is easy to apply and soluble in ether or alkane solvents, but should not be diluted with alcohol or water. Its outstanding durability, UV resistance, non-flammability, and corrosion resistance after curing further enhance its suitability for long-term outdoor and industrial applications.

With a shelf life of two years when unopened and excellent storage stability under proper conditions, OPSZ-9150 is packaged in 5-liter metal containers for convenient handling and transport.
