Recently, IOTA has officially launched its innovative product—IOTA 9108 Organic Polysilazane, also known as a ceramizable precursor polymer. This product has garnered widespread attention in the materials science community due to its unique characteristics and broad range of applications.
IOTA 9108 boasts low viscosity, short curing time, diverse curing methods, high ceramic yield, and excellent adhesion to various materials such as metals, ceramics, and graphite. It can pyrolyze under mild conditions to form temperature-resistant SiCN ceramic products, demonstrating high application value.
In terms of product applications, IOTA 9108 can be used in ceramic matrix composites (CMCs), metal matrix composites, high-temperature adhesives, anti-corrosion coatings, high-temperature oxidation-resistant ceramic coatings, ceramic preform impregnants, thermosetting resins, and organic-inorganic hybrid materials.
IOTA packages IOTA 9108 in 0.5-20 liter plastic drums according to customer needs, with a solid content exceeding 99%, ensuring product stability and reliability.
For curing conditions, IOTA 9108 can achieve cross-linking curing at 120-180°C or utilize platinum catalysts for curing at 80-100°C, with flexible curing times.
Additionally, the storage period and cleaning methods of IOTA 9108 are also noteworthy. The unopened product has a shelf life of six months, and if stored sealed and in a low-temperature, dry environment after opening, the usage period can exceed two months. Tools should be promptly cleaned with acetone or solvent oil after use.
