IOTA Launches Next-Gen Water-Based Nano Hardness Self-Cleaning Coating – IOTA ST2

IOTA has recently launched its latest innovation in surface treatment technology — the water-based nano hardness self-cleaning coating, IOTA ST2. Utilizing advanced nanotechnology, this new product offers excellent hydrophobicity, antimicrobial properties, self-cleaning capabilities, and high hardness, making it ideal for use on a wide range of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, stone, and solar panels.

IOTA ST2 is a colorless and transparent liquid that is easy to apply and can be rapidly cured under either ambient or heated conditions. Once cured, the coating achieves a pencil hardness of up to 8H, with a water contact angle exceeding 100 degrees, delivering superior water repellency and optical clarity. The inclusion of nano titanium dioxide enables photocatalytic activity, generating hydroxyl radicals under light exposure to effectively decompose oils, eliminate bacteria, and purify the air.

Environmentally safe and water-based, IOTA ST2 also demonstrates strong thermal stability, maintaining performance at temperatures up to 200°C. The ultra-hydrophobic transparent ceramic film formed by the coating prevents dust and污垢 accumulation, significantly enhancing the durability and self-cleaning function of surfaces such as photovoltaic glass and architectural facades.

IOTA states that the launch of IOTA ST2 marks another technological breakthrough in the field of functional nano coatings, providing industrial and consumer markets with more efficient and eco-friendly surface protection solutions.
