Recently, a new water-based nano hardness self-cleaning coating named IOTA ST2 has been officially launched, marking a significant advancement in eco-friendly and long-lasting self-cleaning surface technologies. Developed using advanced nanomaterials and waterborne silicone technology, the product offers superior hydrophobicity, anti-fouling, antibacterial properties, and high hardness, making it ideal for use on various substrates such as metals, glass, ceramics, stone, and solar panels.
IOTA ST2 is a colorless and transparent liquid that is easy to apply and can be cured either at ambient temperature or with low-temperature heating, forming a high-density, superhydrophobic transparent ceramic coating. The cured film achieves a pencil hardness of up to 8H, maintains high transparency, and demonstrates excellent adhesion and weather resistance. Under light exposure, nano titanium dioxide within the coating generates hydroxyl radicals, effectively decomposing oils, bacteria, and harmful substances like formaldehyde—enabling true self-cleaning and air-purifying functions.
Environmentally friendly and non-toxic, IOTA ST2 aligns with global sustainability trends and features outstanding thermal stability, performing reliably at temperatures up to 200°C. It is especially suitable for long-term protection in outdoor and industrial environments. The application of IOTA ST2 significantly enhances the efficiency of photovoltaic products and building facades, offering technical innovation and cost savings across multiple industries.
