A new high-performance liquid organic polysilazane, IOTA 9150K, has recently been launched on the market. Specifically engineered for ambient-curing coating systems, this product features low viscosity, fast surface drying, excellent adhesion, and superior antioxidant properties, making it ideal for use in coatings, adhesives, and advanced composite materials.
IOTA 9150K is built around a Si-NH-Si bond structure that undergoes hydrolysis and oxidation at room temperature to form a three-dimensional cross-linked network. This structure delivers outstanding mechanical strength and chemical resistance. Its unique chemistry allows it to react with surface hydroxyl groups on various substrates—including metals, glass, and plastics—resulting in strong adhesion. The addition of suitable catalysts can further enhance curing speed and coating hardness.
This versatile product supports multiple application methods such as spraying, dip coating, and brushing, offering flexibility for diverse industrial needs. The cured film demonstrates excellent hydrophobicity, high transparency, and strong barrier properties against gases and moisture. Clear coatings remain stable at temperatures up to 300°C.
Typically supplied at 50% concentration, IOTA 9150K can be diluted with appropriate solvents based on customer requirements. The product comes in sealed metal containers in volumes ranging from 100 ml to 5 liters, ensuring convenient storage and transport.
