Recently, an innovative product named Hydrophilic Super Hard Stain Resistant Nano-Coating Material IOTA PHPS has emerged in the materials industry. This inorganic (perhydro) polysilazane coating, also known as a nano-hydrophilic stain-resistant coating material, showcases strong application potential in multiple fields with its unique properties.
IOTA PHPS takes perhydro polysilazane as its main component and is diluted and stored in a solvent. It has good solubility, a short curing time, and diverse curing methods. It also boasts excellent adhesion to metals, ceramics, and polymer materials, and can be converted into SiO₂ at relatively low temperatures. In terms of technical parameters, it appears as a colorless and transparent liquid with a solid content of 20% and uses n-butyl ether as the solvent. The liquid density ranges from 1.16 - 1.31 g/ml, and the cured density is between 1.6 - 2.0 g/ml.
Its curing mechanism mainly occurs through the hydrolysis of Si - N bonds. The curing conditions are flexible, with curing possible in over 7 days at room temperature and in 2 hours under wet conditions (90% humidity and 150℃). The cured coating exhibits excellent performance, with a thickness greater than 100nm, a hardness of 3GPa under ammonia curing and 8 - 10GPa under high-temperature curing. It also shows outstanding elastic modulus, pencil hardness, and transparency (over 90%), with an adhesion grade of 0. It can withstand temperatures up to 800℃ and has strong rust, alkali, and saltwater resistance.
In application fields, IOTA PHPS is widely used in building anti-graffiti, precious metal corrosion protection, rail transit, semiconductor insulation layers, electronic circuits, plastic packaging gas and water barrier, metal high-temperature oxidation resistance, and surface hardening coatings, providing reliable protective solutions for various industries.
