Recently, a product named Water-Based Nano High-Hardness Self-Cleaning Coating IOTA ST1 has created a buzz in the coating market. This innovative product, which combines the characteristics of water-based organosilicon coatings, self-cleaning coatings, high-hardness coatings, and hydrophobic coatings, has become an ideal choice for various fields with its outstanding performance.

IOTA ST1 is an emulsion-like liquid prepared using nano-coating technology and contains nano-scale materials. When applied to the surface of a substrate, under the action of ultraviolet and visible light, it can generate hydroxyl radicals, possessing strong catalytic degradation and self-cleaning functions. It can effectively decompose oil stains, kill bacteria, and treat toxins released by bacteria or fungi. It also has functions such as formaldehyde removal, deodorization, anti-fouling, and air purification.

In terms of application fields, it is widely used for anti-oxidation, waterproofing, and anti-fouling treatment of metal surfaces, hydrophobic, anti-fouling, and anti-ultraviolet coatings on glass surfaces, waterproof, anti-fouling, and anti-corrosion treatment of ceramic and stone surfaces, as well as anti-fouling and weather-resistant coatings for solar cells.

The product is easy to apply with high fastness and no residue. After spraying or dip-coating at room temperature, it dries in 10 - 30 minutes. It can be cured by heating at 170℃ for 5 minutes or at room temperature for 1 - 3 days (with the addition of 5% - 8% curing agent). After full curing, it exhibits excellent hydrophobic properties with a water contact angle of over 100 degrees. It is transparent and colorless with high light transmittance. The hardness can reach 8H, and it is resistant to aging and provides long-lasting self-cleaning. It also has antibacterial and deodorizing properties, is resistant to boiling water, and can withstand temperatures up to 200℃. After treatment, a high-density and stable nano-superhydrophobic transparent ceramic coating is formed on the surface of the object, bringing convenience to daily life and improving the service life of solar panels.
