Recently, IOTA's High-Temperature Resistant Water-Based Nano-Ceramic Coating IOTA ST4 has drawn significant attention in the coating market. This topcoat product has become an ideal choice for coating in various industries with its outstanding characteristics.
IOTA ST4 is a water-based coating, environmentally friendly. It does not produce toxic gases such as formaldehyde and benzene during use, fully ensuring the health of construction and user personnel. Adopting special processes and formulations, it has a hardness of up to 9H, with acid and alkali resistance. The cured coating is wear-resistant, scratch-resistant, anti-graffiti, and has features such as dust, oil, and stain resistance. Moreover, this coating can withstand temperatures up to 900℃ and can also serve as a fire-resistant coating when applied to surfaces like wood, greatly expanding its application scope.
In terms of performance indicators, it appears as a colorless and transparent liquid with a solid content of 35%. The coating thickness (wet film) ranges from 10 - 100 microns, and (dry film) from 1 - 50 microns. It has an adhesion of grade 0 and forms a transparent coating after curing. For natural curing, it dries in 30 minutes and fully cures in 7 days. For thermal curing at 150°C, it initially cures in 10 minutes with a hardness of 5 - 8H and fully cures in 3 hours with a hardness of 9H.
In application, it is suitable for topcoats on metals, glass, ceramics, and wooden furniture. When using, first polish and degrease the device and clean it thoroughly. As it is a pure water solvent, coating methods such as brushing, curtain coating, spin coating, and roll coating are recommended. The optimal coating performance is achieved when the dry film thickness is below 10 microns. Unused products should be stored in a sealed manner after opening the lid. It is packaged in 25-kg plastic buckets or 200-kg iron drums, transported as non-hazardous goods, and has a shelf life of 6 months. This product is believed to bring new vitality to the coating industry.
