Recently, a transparent polysilazane resin named Organosilicon Polysilazane (Room - Temperature - Curing Coating Resin) IOTA - OPSZ - 9150 has drawn attention in the coating industry. This product has achieved stable mass production, offering a new option for the coating field.

IOTA - OPSZ - 9150 features Si - NH - Si bonds, enabling it to cure at room temperature mainly through the hydrolysis and oxidation of Si - NH - Si. The Si - NH - Si bonds can react with the -OH groups on the substrate surface, resulting in good adhesion to the substrate. With the addition of an appropriate catalyst, the reaction between Si - H and Si - NH - Si can be promoted, and a three - dimensional cross - linked structure is formed upon curing, endowing the material with excellent mechanical properties, with a hardness of up to 9H.

This product becomes a transparent solid after curing and is resistant to alcohols, ketones, and other organic solvents. It is a single - component product, soluble in ethers and alkanes, but not dilutable with alcohols or water.

In terms of product characteristics, IOTA - OPSZ - 9150 is UV - resistant, non - combustible (after curing), antioxidant, and anti - corrosive. It also offers room - temperature curing, convenient construction, good durability, and easy cleaning. Regarding technical parameters, it is colorless and transparent, with a solid content of over 99%, a viscosity of 50cPs, a surface - drying time of 2 hours, and a full curing time (at 20 - 25℃) of 3 days. The hardness after curing varies with conditions. The light transmittance (visible light) is over 90%, the water contact angle is 105°, and the metal adhesion (cross - cut method) is Grade 0.

In application areas, it can be used for anti - graffiti coatings on buildings and anti - corrosion coatings for metals, as well as a curing agent for silicone resins and a hardening agent for ordinary organic resins, with broad market prospects.
